ISOBM is POSTPONED to 2022!!!

Updated July 2021 with a new postponement to 2022.

Dear colleagues, friends and ISOBM participants,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with great regret that we have decided to (again in 2021) postpone the 46th Congress of the International Society of Oncology and Biomarkers in Bled, Slovenia from 8 – 11 October 2020.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus we have been closely monitoring the development of the pandemic, and we decided to set up a new date.

New date of the Congress is 14th – 17th October 2021.

We are keen to ensure that the exchange of knowledge, expertise, best practices and creation of collaboration opportunities for the members of the ISOBM community continues despite the current challenges.

Congress President
Prof Osredkar Joško

Screening and prognostic markers in Cancer diseases

The 2020 Congress aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and medical clinicians from all fields of oncology to exchange and share their experiences and research results with emphasis on tumour markers and their role in diagnosis and therapy.

Relevant new findings in research, diagnosis and clinical Oncology – as well as technical developments, standardization and quality control, will be presented by opinion leaders in Oral and Poster presentations, along with panel discussions and special topic seminars. In addition, as during recent years, the EGTM (European Group of Tumour Markers) will present their Guidelines on optimal use of Tumour Markers and their clinical interpretation.

Bled is an image of paradise. This tourist gem of global dimensions on the edge of the Triglav National Park was nominated one of the seven new wonders of the world. It is distinguished by a mild, healing climate and thermal springs of lake water. Bled is one of the most recognisable iconic places in Slovenia. A challenge for your eye and your body awaits you on the island where a temple of the ancient Slavic goddess of love Živa used to stand in the location of today’s glorious Gothic church.
